Traditional rulers in Engenni kingdom in Ahaoda west local government area of Rivers State have taken measures to ensure that strange faces capable of causing insecurity does not enter into the kingdom.
The paramount ruler of Engenni kingdom His Royal Majesty MOORE MACLEAN who made this known shortly after a security meeting with chiefs in the area explained that the kingdom has border with Delta and Bayelsa state and also shares bother with communities in Ekpeye Kingdom.
The okilo-mu-ibe of Engenni also disclosed the commencement of compulsory weekly, daily and monthly profiling of every residents and indigenes of every community.
Also speaking, the clan head of Ogua clan OKWA ISAAC and the paramount ruler of joinkrama 4 community SUNNY JACOB told Todayfm SANDRA KENNETH that the process of profiling of the people in his community has commenced stressing his willingness to ensure that his people are secured, as they expressed fear of influx of strangers from neighboring states.
The paramount ruler of Igovia community TITUS MATTHEW revealed that one of the measures discussed, is to report anyone found hiding strange faces to Police and Joint taskforce in the area.
The traditional rulers agreed to report cases of insecurity or perceived insecurity in their different communities.
They also promised to ensure a good communication channel between the local government authority, security agencies and community and youth leaders.
