Member Representing Abua-Odual and Ahaoda East federal constituency expressed preparedness to join force with security agencies to eradicate crime in his constituency.

The Abua-Odua/Ahaoda East federal constituency law maker Solomon Bob has described the killing of Ahaoda Divisional Police D.P.O SP Bako Angbashim as unacceptable, and promises to work with security agencies to ensure perpetrators are brought to book.

The house of representatives member who made this promise shortly after visiting Ahaoda Divisional Police and the Rivers state commissioner of police on Monday, expressed preparedness to clean his constituency of criminality.

SOLOMON condemned what he termed an atrocity against the police and the people of the area, as he assured the commissioner of police of his support and the support of his people in ensuring that the culprits are brought to book.

He also charged the people of Ahaoda East against providing refuge for criminals in their communities and towns, noting that moves contrary to it will destroy social and economic activities in the area.

SOLOMON also called the people to come forward to necessary quarters with useful information that will assist the police, stressing that security is a collective duty.

The federal law maker told newsmen that " the death of SP Bako Angbashim is unacceptable, so I assures the commissioner of my support and the support of my constituency as they set about to get reports of the circumstances that led to the death of the DPO".

"In addition, I am calling on the people of Ahaoda East not to provide refuge in their communities and towns to criminals,because our communities will come to economic ruins, daily life is hard enough for the ordinary man, it will get even harder because there is a direct correlation between security and economic prosperity".
