Andoni Council Boss Hon. Gogoteh Promises People Oriented Project, Flags Off Water Project.

The executive chairman of Andoni local government area of Rivers State Hon. Lazarus Gogoteh has promised to turn the local government into a project destination, as he flags off projects in the area. 

The chairman who made this declaration during the official flag off of the Solar/AC powered water treated projects in Egbormung community in Andoni LGA on Monday 11th November 2024, emphasized his commitment to prioritize people oriented projects. 

He explained that the project will help in addressing the community's long standing problem of portable water and the associated waterborne diseases. 

The Andoni council boss Gogoteh assured the community of the project's timely completion as part of his first 100 days legacy projects as he also revealed plans for recreational activities during the festive season. 

Hon. Gogoteh said "today as we gather in Egbormung community, I want to announce to you that the flag off of this water project is part of my vow to God to ensure the delivery of people oriented projects".

He emphasized that portable drinking water has been a problem to the community stressing that successive administrations has come and gone without addressing the problem. 

"You can agree with me that most waterborne diseases such as cholera are caused by poor drinking water".

"It is on that premise that we are here today, to bring succur to the community by wiping away their tears, as I'm important as this project, I want to assure you that this flag off today will be completed and commission as one of the legacy projects making my first one hundred days in office as the executive chairman of Andoni local government council", he noted. 

"It is my desire to turn Andoni into a project destination, every community will graciously experience this administration in project delivery, let me notify Egbiogolo through this medium that we have set in motion different activities for recreational purpose", Hon. Gogoteh added. 

On his part, the chairman of Opobo-Nkoro local government area Hon. ENYIADA COOKEY-GAM who flagged off the project advised the rural dwellers to not jeopardize the efforts of the Andoni chairman but to instead guard the facility jealously during and after the completion. 

He also commended his Andoni Counterpart for his people oriented projects, describing him as a beacon of development.
