Youths in Rivers State have declared support for governor SIMINALAYI FUBARA against planned impeachment by twenty four members of state House of Assembly.

The State Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, CHIJIOKE IHUNWO who addressed newsmen in Port Harcourt said what is happening in the state is a challenge and desperation but warned those trying to cause problem to desist forthwith.

Ihunwo said Governor FUBARA represent youths and that the youths will resist every attempt to continue godfatherism and desperation to hijack the resources of Rivers people.

The NYCN leader while warning the Nigerian Police to remain neutral in discharge of their duties, threatened to occupy parts of the state if any one challenges the governor.

Nexus correspondent SANDRA KENNETH reports that different youth group later rolled out their traditional drums, chanting songs in support of the governor at the government house.
