Rivers State Governor makes suggestive statements about political crisis.

Rivers state governor Siminilayi Fubara addresses eight newly sworn-in judges.

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has suggested that the reasons behind the political crisis in the state are becoming clearer to the public.

Governor Fubara emphasized that challenging situations, such as the political unrest, are often part of a natural process of growth and improvement, stating that the crisis may be a necessary phase before positive changes can emerge.

The governor made this assertion while addressing eight newly sworn-in judges at the Executive Chambers of Government House in Port Harcourt, noting that Rivers State, having endured the challenges of the crisis, is now in a period of renewal, with efforts underway to restore nearly ninety percent of what was considered lost or damaged.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara reflected on the smooth and optimistic start of his administration, noting that the political family was united when he first assumed office.

Governor Fubara assured the newly sworn-in judges that he would never ask them to compromise their integrity, emphasizing his expectation that they stand firm in upholding the truth and restoring public confidence in the judiciary, just as he pledged continued support from his administration.

The eight High Court judges sworn in are: Justice Frank Onyiri, Justice Victor Ugoji, Justice Godswill Obomanu, Justice Rita Oguguo, Justice Alatuwo Fubara, Justice Bariyima Kokpan, Justice Lesi Wifa-Adedipe, and Justice Ibietela Obu.
