Pipeline explosion in Iloma community in Bonny local government area of Rivers State has affected over ten communities leaving residence in fear of possible destruction of properties.
Oil from the spillage has flown into Iloma, Epelema, Orupiri, Ayaminima, Minima, Oloma, Oguede, several other communities including creeks, rivers and rivulets causing destruction of live stocks, aquatic lives and pollution of waters.
The director of Pollution, Bonny youth federation Sotonye Allison who made this known in an interview with Nexus report media said the explosion occured on Saturday night at about 9pm but was discovered on Sunday.
He said they are stranded and can not cook because of fear of explosion.
He further noted that the spillage has caused severe sufferings, including mini evacuation, adding that aquatic lives have also been destroyed.

Allison said " We have not eaten good food for days, because we can't light our gas or stove or even make fire to cook, our mother's are children are stranded and are looking for safe haven.
We are surrounded with water with no hope of migrating, the price of transportation is high, some persons were able to camp else where but it can't contain over ten communities," He added.
I am calling on the NNPCL to immediately swing into action and rectify this issue, the pipeline is theirs, they should do something about it, this is clearly an equipment failure", he argued.
"Why do we have to suffer? Our women have lost their means of livelihood with no means of possible compensation, all we want right now is our rights to live, this incident has made it difficult for us to live".
