Criminals who engage in so-called one chance robbery activities have devised a new strategy to rob their victims in some parts of Port Harcourt.
This follows a revelation by a victim who was robbed on Thursday along Obiri-Ikwerre route through airport road.
He narrated how he was robbed at gun point inside a tricycle popularly called Keke Napep.
The victim who chose to speak on the ground of anonymity told Nexus report media journalist that he joined a Keke from Obiri-ikwerre at about 5pm, which was loaded with three men, including the rider, and a space was left at the back.
He said the rider veered off the road to a lonely place, robbed him of his fourteen thousand naira at gunpoint before pushing him out of the vehicle and drove off.
This is coming a few weeks after another victim was robbed at gunpoint along the same route, and he narrated his ordeal which is similar to Thursday’s victim’s experience.
