Abia Warriors returned to winning ways after dismantling Plateau United 3-1 at the Umuahia Township Stadium in a match day 8 NPFL encounter. 

 

Goals from Sunday Megwo, Adejoh Ojongwa and Paul Samson gave the Umuahia based side the victory while Adamu Abubakar only got a consolation for the visitors. 


 

In Maiduguri, Elkanemi Warriors won their first match at home this season having drew their last four matches before this encounter by beating Enyimba FC 1-0 via Usman Abbas strike. 

Kwara United shocked Kano Pillars in Katisna as both sides shared the spoils while Remo Stars defeated Bendel Insurance by a lone goal. 

Bayelsa United got the better of Heartland FC 1-0 Sunshine Stars pip Nasarawa United 1-0.

Also ,Seiyefa Jackson's goal in the 47th minute against Niger Tornadoes ensured that Rivers United extended their unbeaten run to 8 matches in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League.
Finidi George-led side secured a crucial one-nil away win in Minna to lead the log on the standings with 19 points, two points ahead of second-placed Remo Stars.


Debutants, Ikorodu City FC led by a consortium of coaches, compounded the woes of Daniel Amokachi-led Lobi Stars in a six-goal thriller.

The Oga Boys defeated the Pride of Benue 4-2 in an entertaining match at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan Lagos.

In Ibadan, Shooting Stars Sports Club returned to winning ways with a slim 1-0 victory over Katsina United, while Rangers International held Akwa United to a goalless draw in Uyo.
