The King of Upata Kingdom in Ahaoda East local government area of Rivers State, His majesty Felix Otuwarikpo has urged traditional rulers to spearhead efforts in curbing anti-social behaviours in their domains.
The Upata Monarch who made this known at a town hall dialogue with members of Akwa Ibom state council of traditional rulers and chiefs to mark the 2025 Nigerian Institute of Public Relation week in Uyo said peaceful atmosphere is necessary for development.
He emphasized the need for Royal Father's to build strategic partnerships with their subjects and key stakeholders for the peace,unity and progress of their domains noting the primary responsibility to defend their kingdoms against internal and external aggressions.
The Nye-Udu Upata His majesty Otuwarikpo in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Comrade Oyagiri Monday, noted that as custodians of the culture and tradition of the people, they must also spearhead development and sustenance of culture and historical sites as a means to regenerate tourist hubs.
